Jordanian Evening Stars
This piece was inspired by a stay over at a Hotel in an Oasis. After the evening meal I strayed to the balcony of the hotel room, I had been warned many years before that the sky would look very different. But the deep velvet sky and the increased twinkling of the stars, caused by the heat distorion, was unique. This was also a chance for me to try to emulate the Deep rhythmic style of Les Baxter's african pieces, which I remember well.You are listening to a work in progress, come back from time to time and listen to the changes, as it evolves. It is called "Jordanian Evening Stars".
